Get REALLY Big Eyes with Only Makeup Tips

Now that the winter has come to freeze up all of your hotness, it is time to fool everyone that you have not been sleeping in. We all get those bags under our eyes that we cannot check as luggage unfortunately. Our eyes become so small and tired looking from lack of sleep or just sleeping too much. During the holiday season, the last thing you want to do is get plastic surgery to enlarge your eyes. Does that even exist? If you want to get the “bigger eyes but still know that you are tired” look then follow the tips to achieve the look. Tip 1: Trim those eyebrows. You know…the furry things above the eyes. Trim them but not too thin. By doing this it will open the eye area more and make them the focus instead of the caterpillars (brows). Tip 2: Do not outline your entire eye with eyeliner. It will make it look smaller than what it really is. Tip 3: Use a cream white or beige colored eye shadow for the inner corner of the eye. It brightens up the eye making it look bigger. Tip 4: If you extend the eyeliner a little bit outside the corner of your eye, it will make your eyes seem wider and larger, but in a good way. It will make your eyes look uneven if done wrong. Tip 5: Puffy eyes can make your eyes seem smaller. Get more sleep, or use teabags on them to get rid of the puffiness. Tip 6: Curling your lashes very big can make the eye look bigger than what it really appears to be. Embrace your fake lashes and curl them. Tip 7: Follow the crease and you will be pleased. By your big eyes I mean. The other way might work too. Anyway, follow the crease of your eye to maximize the area. It will enlarge your eye. Tip 8: Stick to light colors. Use two or more colors in the same hue line to give your eyes a pop of color. Try not to go dark because it will make your eyes smaller. Tip 9: Go bold with your lips. Forget about making the eyes shine with makeup. Leave them bare and go with a bold red lip. It will surely make your eyes look big, in a good way. Tip 10: Blue is for you. Use blue eyeliner to make your eyes look bigger and whiter. Leave the black eyeliner behind. Hopefully by following these tips you can bat your big eyes and catch yourself a lovely person. Also make sure that you get enough...

8 Fall To Winter Fashion Season Tips

Just like the stores are already preparing us for the winter season, you too need to prepare your closet for the winter season. You might be thinking to yourself, “Why do I need to get these things now since we are still in fall?” My answer to that would be…”Why not?” Transitioning your fall season wardrobe into your winter season wardrobe is as easy as walking through your wardrobe. The only difference is you are not going to end up in a snowy land. You will most likely walk in what New Yorkers call slush, beautiful white snow mixed with street muck. Enough about that muck; let us work on that look. If you are like me then you are a stylist who likes to stretch out their wardrobe through all the seasons. Just because a new season is upon us, it does not mean that you have to open up a new credit card to get a new wardrobe. Look in your closet and get creative. Here are 8 steps on how to transition your wardrobe seamlessly. Layer Up: Fall and Winter normally only have earthy greens, black, gray, or white color clothing options. You want to wear on your favorite yellow shirt from the summer? Do it. Layer your brown knitted owl sweater from the fall, and layer your black pea coat jacket. See how easy the transition was. You look chic and it looks like all your clothes are new. Keep It Tight: Pair any dress you wore on in the fall or mid-summer with white or black leggings. It will give you a wintery look and a new look that your friends will not even know was so last season. Turtleneck Chic: Using a turtle neck under a t-shirt dress can go from fall to winter in not time. You can also use a turtleneck with some shorts and leggings. Scarfing Cute: You know those scarves you used as headbands in the summer and fall…well now is the time to use them as scarves. Wrap them around your next to give any look a winter feel. Go for chunky knitted scarves. Warm Toes: Transition your shoes from fall to winter is as easy as slipping off the loafers and slipping on some ankle boots. You can even use pumps. They will pair well with skinny jeans, leggings, and tights. Cushiony boots with faux fur insides are my favorite. Plus you can transition easily any day dress into a winter fashion look with a stylish boot. Maxi Out The Look: Add a leather jacket to any Maxi dress and you will have a new look for...

Ginger Locks For The Fall Season

Ginger Locks For The Fall Season

So it seems that I am going down the Disney princess list one by one. No I am not killing them. I sure am killing their hair colors one by one, but in a good way. I went blonde like Aurora, and then I went dark like Snow White, now I am daring to become ginger like Ariel.  I have always wanted red hair. Run a fork through it. Oh wait, Ariel does that. Anyway, let me tell you how I gingered my dark hair for the fall season. It was as easy as 1, 2, and ginger snap. In all honesty, I sold my voice to Ursula, the sea wench and she dyed my hair. Ursula is also my hair dresser’s name. A coincidence you might say? Ok, I’ll be honest with you. I’m a Disney freak and I looked for a hair dresser with her name. Guilty! There really are no simple at-home remedies to dye your hair ginger without floundering it up. I just followed what Sebastian, the crab, once said to Ariel, “Girl, get in the seat, and let the human take the wheel.” Or at least I think he said that to her. Be prepared beforehand. Step one: Consult with your hairstylist. They will know what will be best for your hair. Do not be that fish out of water. Step two: Find out which shade of red you are daring enough to rock out at sea. Step three: Understand that if your hair is dark that some bleaching will be involved to lighten the hair color before the shade of red is dye. Step four: Do not be caught with your mermaid’s tail between your legs halfway through the process. You do not want an America’s Next Top Model hissy fit moment. Remember: There is no dread in going red. Two extra tips: Lemon Juice: It will lighten your hair and give you ginger hues; plus it will make your hair smell good. All you need to do is squeeze 5 lemons into a bowl then put it on your hair evenly with a comb. Let it sit for 35 minutes before you rinse it off. Cranberry juice: Will enhance your ginger highlights. It is natural and it will not damage your hair. All you need to do is get a cup of cranberry juice and pour it through your hair. Tie it up in a bun after you have worked the juice thoroughly in your hair. Put your blow dryer on the lowest setting or as Ariel would put it, “Thingamabob.” One the juice is dried, rinse it out and you automatically...

Have a Fresh Face for Under $50

My daily face wash routine was mainly lukewarm water on my face with some hand soap. I know what you are thinking…lazy. Not really. I am thinking more along the lines of broke. I went on a face wash journey to find the cheapest yet good quality face care product a broke girl like me could jump for glee over.  First things first, I’m the cheapest. In all honesty, the first step anyone should take: knowing what skin type they have. The last thing you want to do is buy a lot of product just because it is on sale and come home to find out that none of it works on your skin. It is not like that happened to me or anything. I just heard about it. My skin type is sensitive and dry so these products are for this skin type. You need to look for fragrant-free and soothing quality products. The less harshness the product offers the better for your skin it will be. Here are the basics. Cleanser: I love anything with foam, so when I found a foam cleanser for a cheap price I was so happy. Mine is Aveeno Ultra-Calming Foam Cleanser. I got it for $8 dollars at my local Wal-Mart. Since I have very dry skin, I only cleanse my face at night. This helps with over drying my delicate skin. Face Lotion: I cannot live without my Olay Complete All Day UV Moisturizer. I got it for $9 dollars at Walgreens. I use it at least four times a day. It has SPF 15 which protects me from the sun, and it is fragrant free. Plus it contains Aloe and Vitamin E. Rinse your face in the morning with lukewarm water and apply the moisturizer to your face. You will look fresh faced in no time. Exfoliating Scrub: My sensitive dry skin cries every time I mention the word scrub. It is bad for my skin type. What I mainly do is get a little bit of dry oatmeal and mix it with my Aveeno Cleanser. Save money and use a product for two things. I only exfoliate once a week.  After every exfoliation apply your face lotion to reduce any redness. If you cleanse at night and moisturize in the morning then you will have that fresh face glow everyone will talk about. Some might even think you went to the spa. I spent $45 dollars because I bought 2 Aveeno cleansers, and 3 Olay moisturizers. They last for about two weeks and a half. I spent the other $5 dollars on soft face towels to use during...

Six Baby Powder Tricks For Your Beauty Routine

Six Baby Powder Tricks For Your Beauty Routine

Baby powder is a must have especially when it comes to daily beauty routines. It is one of the most helpful products anyone can have. This powder is cheap too. Poof and all of your beauty problems are gone. Plus you get to smell freshly clean. You do not have to be a baby to use it. Use it so you can look good for your baby (the one that takes you out on a date). Here are six easy ways on how baby powder can help you. Brassy roots: A lot of girls like dyeing their hair blonde or even platinum and at times the roots look brassy. When your hair is fully dry, put some baby powder on your hair and comb it through. It will disguise the brassy roots. Sweat: If you are like me and sweat a lot when you get nervous then baby powder is your friend for life. The last thing you want is to look like a hot sweaty mess when you are going out on a first date, or a job interview. Dab some powder under your boobs to keep them from sweating, and also rub baby powder between your sweaty hands to soak up any excess moisture. They will stay soft, dry, and smell good. No one likes shaking a sweaty hand. Putting on gloves can be difficult at times especially when you are going to dye your hair. Rubbing some baby powder in your hands will soak up the moisture and make putting on the gloves a lot easier. Shaving: I do not like passing a razor on my delicate soft skin. That is until I found out that by putting some baby powder on my skin prior to putting on the shaving cream, it causes less friction and I bleed less. Plus my legs feel silky smooth afterwards. Great to do if you wax too since it will add some cool freshness after the wax. Stinky Feet: No one ever wants to ruin their heels by having them stink to high-heaven. Before and after you show off your Louis Vuitton heels, sprinkle them with some baby powder. The powder will absorb any moisture during the wear and then absorb any smells while they sleep in their pent house shoe box. Dirty Hair: Forgot to wash your hair last night, and are you out of dry shampoo? No problem. Use baby powder. Put a thin layer of powder close to the roots. It will absorb the excess oils. If your hair is dark then mix the powder with some cocoa powder. If your hair is red then use some...
