12 Ways To Dress Right For Your Short Height

There are Big & Tall stores but are there any Small & Short stores? Unfortunately there are not. As the world never says, “Shorty…It’s not your birthday.” You can stop crying though. There are many ways to make any outfit look amazing on your short, petit figure without having to shop in the junior section. You can leave GAP Kids behind and graduate to GAP. Unlike amusement parks, you are tall enough to go on this fashion ride. Here are 12 ways to dress right for your short height without going above and beyond. 1. Mono Is Better Than Poly – When it comes to fashion that is. When you are short the last thing you want to do is section off your body by wearing many colors. Keep your color choice monochrome. 2. Above The Knee – No below the knee dresses for you. Keep your skirt and dress length above the knee. Showing off your legs elongates you. 3. 6 Extra Inches – Do not be afraid of walking in heels. Let them help you look taller and sexy at the same time. 4. Wedge The Difference –Afraid of heels? Then use wedges. They will give you height and are the safer choice. 5. High and Waisted – Rocking shorts with a high waist quality gives your short figure an illusion quality. It makes your legs look longer than they really are. 6. Mini Me – Skirts and dresses that are mini are great for short girls. Pair them with an elegant high heel and you have a show-stopping look. 7. Leave The Bell Bottoms – Jeans can be such a hassle. Stick with boot cut jeans since they make you look tall. Stay away from flared jeans and wide leg ones. You will look all swallowed up. 8. TUCK IT IN – Do not leave your shirt out if you are wearing jeans, shorts, or skirts. Tuck it in because if you leave it out it cuts your body in half and makes you look short. Only leave it out if it is a crop top or meets the top of the pants/skirts/shorts. 9. Keep It Thin – Thin belts are better than thick belts. Thick belts block your body and make you look shorter than you are. 10. Crop Only Pictures – NO CROP PANTS! There is no flood. Plus crop pants on short girls only do two things. They make you look like you have thick legs, and make it seem like you shrink clothes. 11. Make It Fit – Voluminous outfits and baggy clothes do no wonders for your petite body. Buy form fitted...

4 At-Home T-Shirt Design Ideas That Will Blow Your Mind

We go to a store and see a shirt we instantly fall in love with. Then we see the price and cry. Why? It is too expensive. This has happened to all of us. There are many options to not let that happen again. You can go blind, but that is too drastic. You cannot visit the store anymore. You can find cheaper options. You can do what I do. I get all crafty and make my own. All you need is some creativity and plain t-shirts to design. Here are four ways to design t-shirts at home. 1. Cut and Sponge – Get a piece of thick card stock. Cut out your design template. Tape it to the shirt using masking tape, or painter’s tape (the blue one). Now pick a fabric paint color. Use a sponge, dab the paint instead of painting it on because you run a chance of it going underneath the template. Let it dry. Remove the template and there you have it; your own t-shirt. 2. Spray and Go – This one is simple. All you need is a stencil template which you can print out for free from online or make your own. Cut out the parts you want spray painted. Tape it on the shirt. Now start spraying with spray paint. Make sure the area is ventilated well. You can even roll up the t-shirt and put rubber bands all over it. Spray it and as soon as you are done spraying, cut off the rubber bands. Open the shirt up slowly and put it on a hanger to dry. 3. Print and Wear – You need special printer paper for this. Make sure your printer is a laser printer and that you have print transfer paper. Select your image from the computer. Print it out. Iron out the shirt first. Now put the transfer paper, face down on the shirt. It has to be centered. Now use your iron and ironing it to the shirt. All it takes is 20 to 30 seconds for it to transfer. 4. Tie Dye – This is like making Easter eggs. You will make a mess so line the floor with newspaper. Make as many different color dyes as you want. Twist the shirt up and put rubber bands around it. Now dip it into whatever color you want. Take the rubber bands off once dried. Your shirt is so cool! Another way to use the dye is by putting it in a bottle. On your shirt you can put label stickers in whatever shape. Then spray them with the dye. Let it dry. Peel...

13 Tips On How To Know For Sure: Is My Dress Too Tight?

You are at your goal weight and want to show off your body this holiday season. Your first though might be to get a tight dress to show of my curves, or muscles. Your second thought might be to pick out the red one. Your third thought might be to put it back because it is so fudging much. Picking out a tight dress should not be difficult. You just have to know where you are going, and how much you want to show off. There is a difference in looking like a hot tamale and a hot sausage.   Here are some tips to keep you from wearing out the wrong tight dress. Know your body. Tight is not always right. Here is an option: wear a loose shirt dress with tight leggings.   Know your surroundings. If you are at a work party, do not wear on something so tight that will cause sexual harassment issues. Muffin tops are great to eat. They do not look good personified. Never wear on something so tight that you look like a busted can of biscuits. If you have rolls, use a band around the area that will help you hide it, wear spanx, or find a tight dress that has a little peplum skirt. If you cannot breathe then tight is not your thing. A dress should never stop you from breathing it should catch someone else’s breath when they see you. You may be a size zero but if a dress is too tight it may make you look like you just ate a whole pizza. If it you cannot zip it then do not keep it. Never struggle to zip something up because you can break the never or accidently zip some of your flesh, like the There’s Something about Mary scene. Be the talk of the party because of how tight you whole look was. Do not be the talkof the party because of how tight you looked in your dress. Fabric is key when purchasing a tight dress. Stay away from stretch fabric because it will not hug your curves and model them. If you already have it, spanx it up! Form fitted tight dress are great for work events. Find one that accentuates your chest area without showing too much. Peplum gives you a super professional look! The only tight thing at a family party should be your slicked back hair. None of your family members want to see your breasts. Who you trying to show your body off too? Your uncle? Loose top and tight bottom (you know I mean clothing right?) is...

Holiday parties are being added to your calendar so fast like an extra spoonful of gravy on your mashed potatoes. The last thing you want is to be seen wearing the same dress at every party. You might be asking, “What if I am invited to more than twenty holiday parties, do I need to have twenty different dresses?” No honey. I know we are all not made of money. What you need to do is cut down the amount of parties you are going to. Here are some ideas on how to look spectacular in every holiday pic with a different dress. 8 Fall To Winter Fashion Season Tips

Just like the stores are already preparing us for the winter season, you too need to prepare your closet for the winter season. You might be thinking to yourself, “Why do I need to get these things now since we are still in fall?” My answer to that would be…”Why not?” Transitioning your fall season wardrobe into your winter season wardrobe is as easy as walking through your wardrobe. The only difference is you are not going to end up in a snowy land. You will most likely walk in what New Yorkers call slush, beautiful white snow mixed with street muck. Enough about that muck; let us work on that look. If you are like me then you are a stylist who likes to stretch out their wardrobe through all the seasons. Just because a new season is upon us, it does not mean that you have to open up a new credit card to get a new wardrobe. Look in your closet and get creative. Here are 8 steps on how to transition your wardrobe seamlessly. Layer Up: Fall and Winter normally only have earthy greens, black, gray, or white color clothing options. You want to wear on your favorite yellow shirt from the summer? Do it. Layer your brown knitted owl sweater from the fall, and layer your black pea coat jacket. See how easy the transition was. You look chic and it looks like all your clothes are new. Keep It Tight: Pair any dress you wore on in the fall or mid-summer with white or black leggings. It will give you a wintery look and a new look that your friends will not even know was so last season. Turtleneck Chic: Using a turtle neck under a t-shirt dress can go from fall to winter in not time. You can also use a turtleneck with some shorts and leggings. Scarfing Cute: You know those scarves you used as headbands in the summer and fall…well now is the time to use them as scarves. Wrap them around your next to give any look a winter feel. Go for chunky knitted scarves. Warm Toes: Transition your shoes from fall to winter is as easy as slipping off the loafers and slipping on some ankle boots. You can even use pumps. They will pair well with skinny jeans, leggings, and tights. Cushiony boots with faux fur insides are my favorite. Plus you can transition easily any day dress into a winter fashion look with a stylish boot. Maxi Out The Look: Add a leather jacket to any Maxi dress and you will have a new look for...
