Spring is already here and it’s time to renew your style from head to toe. You are probably reorganizing your closet right now, but this is also a great time to shake up your make-up case a little bit. Gone are the days of smokey eyes and other safe winter looks that you know damn well are your safe ‘go-to’ party looks. Spring calls for bold, vibrant make-up, babe! So here are some of the make-up trends for this season you can’t go without.
Fierce Blue Eyeliner
Ditch your regular old black eyeliner. It has served you well, but Spring 2015 requires a bolder color. Specifically, blue. It doesn’t matter the shade you choose, this season there is one perfect blue liner for every look. When you go to for your typical winged eyeliner, trade black for a rich, deep blue and create a sharp cat-eye effect. This will get you a dramatic and vibrant look. If you want something a little less out there, find a soft baby blue liner and apply it to your inner eyelid. This will make your eyes pop and look bigger. To avoid over-saturating your look, pair up your blue liner with a neutral, low-key color for your lips, to avoid taking attention away from your eyes.
Bold Oxblood Lipstick
Instead of dressing up your eyes, you want your mouth to steal the spotlight, Spring 2015 is the time to try out deep red lips and experience something we haven’t seen in other collections. This season, dark matte lipstick is your go-to rouge. Pick deep, purplish reds, like oxblood when buying a new lipstick this spring. And eye-catching red lipstick is the perfect way to tie up your look and look instantly dressed up in one simple step. The only thing you should be aware of is balance. Keep your eye make-up minimal and choose a shade of red that compliments your skin, to avoid looking overdone.
Strong, Thick Brows
Oh, yes. Strong eyebrows are still “in” this season. You can thank Cara Delevigne for that. We all know that the shape of your eyebrows can pretty much completely change your face, and it turns out that “thin, overly plucked Barbie brows” are not our only choice. Big, bushy, arched brows add strength to your look and the good news is you don’t need to be genetically blessed to achieve the fierce Delevigne brow. Just get some pencils, brushes and gels, and start filling in. Thick, perfectly shaded eyebrows are almost a complete look on their own, since they frame your face and draw attention to your eyes. This means that you should pair them up with minimal make-up: mascara and maybe a little lip-gloss.
