Get Spring Ready Legs

“Who wears short shorts?” It may not be summer quite yet, but it’s a good time to start grooming those gams so that they’re in prime form for short and bikini weather (and warm weather in general.)  Here are six tips for pampering your legs so that they look fabulous in all those new summer outfits.

Take Up Pilates or Yoga. When it comes to exercise, Pilates and yoga are two of the best ways to elongate, strengthen and tone muscles to give your legs a lean and lithe look.

Exfoliate, Exfoliate. Before you shave your legs, be sure you exfoliate with a body scrub to remove dead skin cells. If you don’t have a favorite body scrub, Alba Botanica Hawaiian Sea Salt Body Scrub is a good one to try. This is especially important if you like to use self-tanning products. Self-tanners won’t take properly to your skin and will look blotchy or leave streaks if you don’t exfoliate first.

Wear Cotton Pants After Moisturizing. Before you go to sleep at night or if you’re laying around the house on a Sunday afternoon, apply a heavier body lotion or cream, then put on a pair of comfy cotton sweat pants to hold the moisture in. When you wake up in the morning or after you’re done lounging, you’ll notice how super smooth your legs will be.

Splurge on a Pedicure. Properly maintained feet will make your legs look a lot better. If you create a color theme from your waist down, you’ll also get a longer, leaner look. For example, try a nude or neutral pant, shoe and toenail polish.
